Roger Waters @ HP Pavilion (12/7/10)

It was San Jose's turn last night at the HP Pavilion to hear Roger Waters perform the 1979 classic, 'The Wall', in its entirety as part of the album's 30th anniversary. The first of two nights at the arena, and only a couple of days after his show in Oakland, Roger took to the stage just after 8pm and took the near capacity crowd on a trip through The Wall.

Roger and his 10+ person band played through the album nearly flawlessly while having a 100' wall built and then torn down in front of them. This was less of a rock concert and more of a broadway musical with everything from pyrotechnics, an incredible light and video show, a flying pig, exploding planes and giant inflatable puppets.

This was by far, one of the most elaborate concerts I've ever seen and well worth the price of admission. Take my word for it, if this show comes to your town, make sure you get to experience the wonder of The Wall.

Here's the performance captured from an iPhone:
