What a fun show! I'll admit, I grew up listening to the Van Hagar era of Van Halen -- and 5150 & OU812 are still favorites of mine. But the reunion tour featuring David Lee Roth back at the helm of Van Halen was too much to pass up! And the show didn't disappoint one bit!

These guys still have it!

David Lee Roth is the consummate performer and throughout the night, he joked, recited stories, and danced for the crowd -- all while keeping the tune and belting out the hits.

The namesakes of the band -- Eddie, Alex and Wolfgang Van Halen -- remained relatively subdued in terms of their onstage performance and let the lead showman (DLR) work the crowd. But each spoke loudly with their respective instruments! Seeing Eddie play live was incredible. The tones he's able to create with his guitar truly create the VH 'sound'.

The newest addition to the band, Wolfgang, who replaced founding bassist Michael Anthony in 2006 was fully capable driving the rhythm section and bass lines. But it's Alex Van Halen -- who I challenge you to find in his drum kit in the video below -- who kept the entire band in lock-step.

This is essentially a greatest hits reunion tour and as you'll see on the setlist below, if you're a Van Halen fan, you won't be disappointed in this show.

If you're even partially on the fence about going to this show, the Kenny Wayne Shepherd Band warms up the crowd and puts on a solid blues rock performance.

Don't miss this show if they come to your town!
