Review - Carpenter Brut @ Great American Music Hall (3/24/17)

French electronic musician, Carpenter Brut, brought his melding of EDM and metal to the Great American Music Hall last night to a near capacity crowd. This was the first US headlining tour for the band after opening for Ghost last year and the release of his Trilogy EPs (iTunes). He's also seen success from his contributions to video games such as Ubisoft's The Crew and Devolver Digital's Hotline Miami 2. Unfortunately, the band wraps up their North American tour tonight in Los Angeles before heading back to Europe for a swing of summer festival dates.

The bands' performance last night was set against a video montage of hilarious b-movie footage from the 70's and 80's and a light show that bathed the band in a curtain of red light for the majority of the show.
