MOUNTAIN VIEW – For the fourth consecutive year, WiLD 94.9, a local Bay Area radio station that plays the latest and greatest pop and R&B tracks, held their annual WAZMATAZZ concert at Shoreline Amphitheatre this past Friday. This year's lineup was headlined by the heartthrob trio, Jonas Brothers, which consists of three brothers (Joe, Nick, and Kevin) who are from New Jersey. They first gained popularity with their tenure on the Disney Channel as child stars appearing in various movies, television shows, and music videos. As all of the brothers advanced in their careers, they split and all experimented with different solo projects, trying different sounds and harmonies with different bands. It wasn’t until 2019 (10 years since their last album) that they decided to reunite and put their original collaborative efforts to use to craft their new sound. With catchy anthems like "Sucker," which debuted at number one on the Billboard Hot 100 and the US Hot Digital Songs chart, making this their first number one song, it was clear they had something that worked. The brothers defined how each individual's voice should sound to craft their newfound image and feel for the reformed band.

Fans were spread out throughout the whole amphitheater, with ages of fans from the early 2000s and now onto the next generation showing their little ones the music they grew up on. Fans waved signs of their favorite brother throughout the lawn, cheering them with the highest pitch of screams. The brothers then came onto the stage with a grand entrance of applause and performed a funky entrance with "Only Human", later transitioning to the acoustic anthem "What a Man Gotta Do", and then "Cool".

The Jonas Brothers were not shy of nostalgia and blended the different sounds of their previous albums with their present work. Fans were treated to performances of songs like “S.O.S”, a smash hit from their self-titled album, and "Waffle House" which is a personal favorite from their latest album, The Album.

The brothers clearly have experienced stage presence simply by growing up on one, but they’ve really exceeded the expectations of a "radio show" by performing a full set that spanned across their lengthy discography. Nick Jonas gave a speech acknowledging their first time performing in Mountain View since their tour stopped 15 years ago, which was followed by a thank you to all of the fans who’ve grown up with them throughout the years and their continued support. Nick then proceeded to perform his solo hits "Levels" and "Jealous".

Each brother got to shine and perform hits from their own solo projects complimented with guitar solos. You would think you got to experience three concerts for the price of one! Kevin took the stage to follow up with his smash hit "Cake By the Ocean," performing with his original band DNCE, which included two guitarists, two additional vocalists, a drummer, and a pianist. JinJoo-Lee, the lead guitarist, really shined with her incredible guitar solo outros. Their additional production value sets the tone for how immersive their performances are.

The show then transitioned to an acoustic guitar solo with a speech by Nick, thanking their father, who is one of their biggest inspirations and helped them write the next song. The amphitheater was then dimmed, with cell phones lit across the stage waving from side to side as they performed "When You Look Me In the Eyes”, an emotional ballad about falling in love and knowing you’ve found that special someone. Closing the night, the Jonas Brothers performed anthems like "Lovebug", "Burnin Up", and their Marshmello collaboration "Leave Before You Leave Me". The trio once again thanked the audience and hoped they could catch them on their upcoming tour, closing with "Sucker".
