OAKLAND – Rosalía is back on tour in support of her latest album, "LUX," which was released late 2025. Her popularity has continued to rise, performing in arenas, as the last time she performed in the Bay Area was in 2022 at the Bill Graham Civic Auditorium. Not only has her fan base grown, so did her genre-bending songwriting and vocal talent. Rosalía is a one-of-a-kind act, and she truly shows it on this tour. From combining a full symphony playing opera-style instrumentals to the intricate stage design and dancers, the Lux Tour cannot be replicated.
Rosalía gets brought onto stage, being unboxed from a wooden box, as she goes through the beginning of tracks from "LUX," including “Sexo, violencia y llantas” and "Reliquia." The symphonic element added so much depth to the performance as it complemented her voice perfectly. “Porcelana” was a standout performance, especially with the hypnotizing ad-libs from Dougie F.
One element that I really enjoyed from the show was the live translation of lyrics that were highlighted above her screen. You get to really capture the essence of the lyrics she’s singing as it goes in real time. This was really highlighted when she sang “Divinize” and "Berghain," as she was carried by her background dancers in almost like a flash mob style. “This is my first time in Oakland!” as she thanks the crowd for their continued support for attending her shows throughout her visits to the Bay Area.
“Where are all my Motomamis?" she yells as she goes through tracks from her 2022 album "MOTOMAMI." Tracks like "SAOKO," “LA FAMA," and “LA COMBI VERSACE” hit fans with a bit of nostalgia from her previous sound. The lights dimmed, and Rosalía has a bit every show where she talks to a guest through a confession room. She then brought out pop star Chappell Roan to a sea of excited fans yelling at the top of their lungs. Chappell then shares a confession and story about an old situationship that ended negatively but ultimately ended up inspiring her songwriting.
Rosalía knows how to sing, and it truly shows when singing in different languages. She can sing in fluent Japanese, Italian, English, and Spanish. It’s truly impressive and sounds like such an artistic blend of cultures. She covered “Can’t Take My Eyes off You” by Frankie Valli, singing inside of a frame in front of an art backdrop as if she were the painting for a small group on stage. That group were hand-selected fans from the arena who got to witness a one-of-a-kind experience.
Rosalía then goes through tracks off “LUX” like “Sauvignon Blanc” after downing a glass of it and other notable ones including “La Yugular," “Dios Es Un Stalker," and "Memória." This part of the show was extraordinary as she moved her way to the floor of the audience, singing to die-hard fans and passing them the microphone, but later ending up in front of the choir as if she were directing it. She sings with passion and turns the Oakland Arena into a nightclub with flashing lights and electrifying techno beats.
Rosalía later moves back to the stage to once again thank the audience for their tireless efforts to support her career. She closes out the show with anthems like "BIZCOCHITO," "DESPECHÁ," and “Focu 'Ranni," closing it out with “Magnolias” off the latest album.
